FAQs
Baa Baby stocks a range of footmuffs so you can perfectly match one to your pram’s size and harness. As a rough guide:
- Compact and travel buggies (like the Babyzen Yoyo or Bugaboo Butterfly): Baa Baby Original or Fellhof Classic
- Double prams: Fellhof Classic or Baa Baby Original
- Fixed harnesses (including some Cybex models): Baa Baby Original or Baa Baby Luxe
- Larger prams (like the Uppababy Vista): Baa Baby Luxe or Fellhof Premium
To check your exact model, see our footmuff fitting guide, with photos and videos for most major brands. Still unsure? Email us at baa@baababy.co.uk with your pram and we’ll tell you which fits best.
Both are lined with soft milk lambskin, have a waterproof outer and convert to a pram liner. The difference is size and fit.
The Original is more compact, so it sits neatly in travel buggies and smaller prams with no overhang. It’s won the Mother & Baby Gold Award two years running.
The Luxe is longer and roomier, with a shaped seat to stop your baby slipping down and a zip at the base for longer legs and muddy boots. It suits larger prams and gives more room to grow.
Most babies move into a footmuff at around 6 months, once they’re sitting up in the pram seat unaided rather than lying in the carrycot. From there, our footmuffs last until the end of the buggy years, usually around 2.5 to 3 years.
If you want the longest wear, choose a longer footmuff with an opening at the base, like the Baa Baby Luxe. These have a zip at the bottom, so longer legs and muddy boots can poke through as your child grows.
And because the top zips off to leave a sheepskin pram liner, you’ll use it all year round, not just in winter.
Yes. The top zips off completely to leave a sheepskin pram liner. Sheepskin is naturally breathable and temperature-regulating, so it keeps your baby comfortable in warm weather as well as cold.
Absolutely. Sheepskin footmuffs are safe , just like any footmuff when they are used correctly. They are known for their natural breathability and temperature-regulating properties, making them a comfortable choice for your baby.
The sheepskin in your footmuff can be cleaned with a lanolin shampoo or, what we tend to find is often the easiest solution, is leaving stains to dry and then brushing them out. We’ve got a dedicated guide on cleaning your sheepskin footmuff.
If a sheepskin footmuff is 100% natural, like ours, they come with brilliant benefits. Temperature-regulating, hypoallergenic, and luxuriously soft – sheepskin pram footmuffs are way more than just a cute, cosy addition.
