Which Footmuff For My Double Buggy Pram?

Which Footmuff Should I Choose For My Double Buggy?
A duet or double buggy can pose a bit of a challenge in terms of finding the right pram accessories.
Footmuffs especially can be a bit tricky – primarily due the narrow seat and more restriction in terms of options. Don’t worry, you can still keep two cosy at once, it will just require a more personalised approach and careful fitting.
Pram footmuffs recommended for a single version of a pram don’t always fit the duet version and our larger footmuffs will be just too big and will swamp the frame.
The Fellhof Classic Footmuff is a great footmuff for a duet pram unless you have a fixed or 3 point harness (such as the Cybex of Vista 2) From our premium supplier in Austria, Fellhof, who are renowned for their silky soft sheepskin that is super soft to the touch. The footmuff is fully lined and featured wooden toggles to fold back the toop of the footmuff
The classic version features the facility to remove the top of the footmuff to leave a separate pram liner and is secured with the harness and hooked over the back of the seat. The foofmuff is nice and light and flexible so works well with a narrower frame
Next up is the Baa Baby original footmuff again offering a more compact design which fits neatly into a narrower frame. Fully lined with luxurious milk merino sheepskin the Baa Baby footmuff has much paler sheepskin than the Fellhof or Kaiser.
With the added benefit of vertical harness openings the Baa Baby footmuff will fit all strap configurations such as the Cybex, Thule or Vista 2
We find the original a really good fit in duet prams with the bottom of the footmuff sitting comfortably without any overhang. The top of the Baa Baby original footmuff zips off to leave a pram liner for the warmer months so no need to buy an additional liner for the spring and summer.
The Kaiser Natura footmuff is from our German suppliers. It is a compact universal footmuff that works well with smaller prams. The top will zip off to leave a pram liner and the fitting is in the same way with the harness openings and hooked over the seat.
Kaiser lambskin tends to have a more traditional woolly feel and the shade is a darker and deeper honey tone. The footmuff is also a little heavier and more rigid in feel than the Fellhof, this makes it a little too tight a fit for doubles such as the baby jogger but works really well in the Out and About and Bugaboo Donkey
We know there isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to your child and your pram so we are delighted to offer you the choice of different branded footmuffs and show you just how they look in the pram so you can make an informed decision before you purchase. Yes - sheepskin is naturally thermostatic and breathable and all of the footmuffs at Baa Baby also have the advantage of converting into a pram liner for the warmer months.
With all our footmuffs here at Baa Baby there is the option to take off the top cover to leave a pram liner. This can be achieved easily by zipping off the top cover and storing it throughout the warmer seasons. This leaves the bottom layer of sheepskin which is secured in the pram seat by the harness straps.
Yes, all of our sheepskin footmuffs are OEKO-TEX certified for the ultimate in safety for your little one. Sheepskin is naturally breathable and thermostatic so will keep your little one cosy without overheating
Yes they are - though we find that most parents won't need to wash them. Sheepskin is very forgiving and naturally dirt repellant. For any stains and spills simply leave them to dry and brush out with a wire brush. A good airing, shake and brush is usually all that your footmuff will need but if you do need to wash your footmuff then detailed instructions can be found here
Yes they are ! - with mother nature and your baby’s safety in mind our footmuff is both waterproof and windproof using BIONIC-FINISH® ECO rather than harsh chemicals traditionally used.
Our footmuffs are suitable up to 3 years, however this will always be dependent upon the size of your child is the largest. Our Baa Baby Luxe is the largest size we offer. It also has the benefit of a double zip opening at the bottom for muddy feet and longer legs to poke out. Ultimately you will also need to ensure that your pram is big enough to accommodate a larger footmuff as they are longer in length.
