Designed not to slip! Why Baa Baby pram liners and footmuffs are great at staying in place

A Baa Baby design highlight

No parent wants to notice that their beautiful pram liner or footmuff keeps on slipping - creeping down the seat, bunching behind baby’s back, and needing to be pulled into place again and again!

A feature we’re very proud of at Baa Baby is how securely our liners and footmuffs stay in place once fitted correctly within a pram or buggy. From the very beginning, it’s been a core part of our design and something we've continued to refine over the years - making sure that once the harness is fastened, our design stays exactly where it is meant to be.

Experts in Pram Fitting

At Baa Baby, fitting your pram correctly is our absolute priority. That's why we go over and above to help our customers find the right fit.

Designed around real prams, not one-size-fits-all

For our pram liners, staying in place starts with the liner's shape. Rather than using flat, universal inserts, we design our liners to follow the contours of real pram and buggy seats. This helps them sit properly within the seat, instead of shifting or sliding as you walk.

We also make two distinct liner shapes - Pram Style and Buggy Style - because prams and buggies are shaped differently. Designing around the seat itself, rather than forcing a single shape to work everywhere, makes a big difference to how secure the liner feels once fitted.

Harness openings that do their job well

Harness design plays a big role in preventing slipping. Our Pram Style liners feature horizontal harness slots designed for traditional five-point harnesses, allowing the shoulder straps to thread through the liner and hold it firmly in place.

Our Buggy Style liners use vertical openings, letting the harness pull cleanly through the liner instead. In both cases, the harness helps anchor the liner, so it doesn’t creep down the seat or bunch behind your baby’s back as you go.

Once the harness is fastened, the liner becomes part of the seat rather than something sitting loosely on top of it.

The same thinking applies to our footmuffs

Our footmuffs are designed with the same approach. They’re shaped to fit properly within the pram and work neatly with the harness system, so once your baby is strapped in, everything stays aligned and secure.

There’s no twisting, sagging, or gradual slipping as you walk - just a lovely, consistent fit that stays where it should, even on longer outings.

Will this liner or footmuff actually fit and not slip with my actual pram or buggy?

Baa Baby pram liners and footmuffs are designed to work with a huge variation of popular prams and buggies, including models and ranges from brands like iCandy, Bugaboo and Silver Cross. Because the fit is led by shape and harness design, once fitted correctly, they’re designed to stay securely in place rather than shifting or slipping as you walk.
